2001 Toyota Crown Athlete (RHD), Fuel Filter

 

Engine:          2JZ-FSE 3.0 L / 6 cyl / Gas VVT-i (image), Fuel: Gasoline Direct Injection (D-4), Mileage: 37170 km, Model: GH-JZS175W-AWAXH

Symptoms:     Повышенный расход топлива, ухудшение динамических свойств.

После проверки давления дополнительного насоса, проверен "первичный" и "основной" топливный фильтры:

 и результат "на лице" как и запах. Понятна грусть этого японского парня при  такой их загрязненности (35 тыс. км по Украине - это "что-то" :-)

Для реализации столь заявленных производителем технических характеристик (см. табл.), необходимо, как минимум, регулярное ТО (Regular SERVICE).

 После замены фильтров и промывки (Wynn's) топливной магистрали, Gasoline High Pressure Fuel Pump и форсунок - автомобилю значительно полегчало.

 

As writed Toyota:

"Toyota launched the Toyota direct-injection D-4 gasoline engine as a fuel efficiency improvement measure in 1996. It was further improved to be adopted for use in the new Crown.

In addition, a high-pressure slit nozzle, which spreads atomized fuel in a fan shape during formation of the fuel-air mixture, was developed and has served as central technology for lean burn engines. The 3.0-liter D-4 (2JZ-FSE) engine achieved fuel efficiency of 11.4km/liter (according to the fuel test in 10-15 mode), which is in the top level in its class, and already meets the new fuel efficiency standards set to go into effect in 2010...".
