Reading self-diagnostic codes.

To read self-diagnostic codes, do the following:
1. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
2. Turn the mode selector on the end of the ECU completely clockwise. 3. After a pause of 2 seconds, turn it completely counterclockwise.
After this, read the codes, paying attention to the duration of the LED glow. Determine the code number using the following rules:
- Long flashes - the number of tens in the self-diagnostic code,
- Short flashes - the number of units.
For example, code 0311 is read with 3 long and 11 short flashes.

1. Включите зажигание, но не заводите двигатель.
2. Поверните селектор выбора режимов в торце ECU полностью по часовой стрелке.
3. После паузы в 2 секунды поверните его полностью против часовой стрелки. После этого считайте коды, обращая внимание на длительность свечения СД. Определите номер кода, используя следующие правила:
- Длинные вспышки - количество десятков в коде самодиагностики,
- Короткие вспышки – количество единиц.
Например, код 0311 считывается при 3 длинных и 11 коротких вспышек.

14*	Vehicle speed sensor	Vehicle speed sensor signal circuit is open.
21*	Ignition signal	The ignition signal in the primary circuit is not entered during engine cranking or running (See a dealer service department or other qualified repair shop).
28	Overheat condition	Check the cooling fans & circuits.
31	ECM control unit	ECM input signal is beyond "normal" range (See a dealer service department or other qualified repair shop).
32	EGR function	EGR control valve does not operate.
33	Oxygen sensor	Oxygen sensor circuit is open.
34*	Knock sensor	Knock sensor circuit is open or shorted.
35	Exhaust gas temperature sensor	Exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit is open or shorted.
36	EGRC-BPT valve problem	Check this component & its circuit.
37	Closed loop operation	Front oxygen sensor malfunction, or circuit malfunction shorted or open.
41	Intake air temperature	Check sensor & sensor malfunction circuit.
43	Throttle position sensor (TPS)	TPS circuit is open or shorted.
55*	EFI system	Normal operation. No problems are detected.
65	Misfire on cylinder 4	Check #4 spark plug wire and cap terminal.
66	Misfire on cylinder 3	Check #3 spark plug wire and cap terminal.
67	Misfire on cylinder 2	Check #2 spark plug wire and cap terminal.
68	Misfire on cylinder 1	Check #1 spark plug wire and cap terminal.
71	Random misfire	Check ignition system components.
72	Catalytic converter system problem	Refer the vehicle to a specialist.
76	Fuel injection system problem	Refer the vehicle to a specialist.
77	Rear oxygen sensor problem	Check the component and its circuit.
82	Crankshaft position sensor signal problem	Check the component and its circuit.
84	A/T diagnostic communications line	Refer vehicle to an automatic transaxle specialist.
91	Front oxygen sensor heater problem	Check the component and its circuit.
95	Crank P/S COG	Refer the vehicle to a specialist.
98	Coolant temperature sensor out of range	Check the component & its circuit.
103	Park / neutral switch malfunction	Refer vehicle to an automatic transaxle specialist.
105	EGRC solenoid	Check the component and its circuit.
111	Inhibitor switch	Refer vehicle to an automatic transaxle specialist.

0702 Catalytic converter Possible three way catalytic converter defective. Check for injector problems, damaged exhaust tube or intake manifold leak.
0704 EVAP system Check the EVAP control system pressure sensor.
0705 EVAP system Check for a small leak.
0706 Fuel injection system malfunction Mixture is too rich or too lean.
0707 Rear oxygen sensor Check the rear oxygen sensor and circuit.
0801 Vacuum cut valve bypass valve or circuit Have vehicle diagnosed by dealer service department or other qualified repair shop.
